Technology so sophisticated even the people who built it don't understand what they built. This is what Ray Kurzweil was talking about: technology outpacing humanity. This is the foundation for artificial intelligence greater than human intelligence. Not a bad thing in itself, though it is worrisome that it is being advanced by shadowy corporations. Quantum properties like tunneling and entanglement have the capacity to transform reality beyond imagination. Comical though, that if you try to look at how the machine operates you prevent it from functioning.
