“Network Of Global Corporate Control”

Via RedIceCreations:

A former insider at the World Bank, ex-Senior Counsel Karen Hudes, says the global financial system is dominated by a small group of corrupt, power-hungry figures centered around the privately owned U.S. Federal Reserve. The network has seized control of the media to cover up its crimes, too, she explained. In an interview with The New American, Hudes said that when she tried to blow the whistle on multiple problems at the World Bank, she was fired for her efforts. Now, along with a network of fellow whistleblowers, Hudes is determined to expose and end the corruption. And she is confident of success.

That was a horribly biased article, and I have never seen so many ignorant comments in one forum.  The word "corporation" is not synonymous with "evil".  Genetically modified food will not turn you into zombies or cause your children to have three arms and a tail.  If it wasn't for modern farming techniques including genetic modification, and large farming corporations, a large portion of the world population would starve to death.  Contrary to the misinformation being spread below, we could not feed the world by "supporting local farmers".  It is the same mindset that insists that "organic" food is better for you, despite scientific studies showing that there is no health advantage. It is because of people that think like this that DDT is still banned and millions of people needlessly die of malaria.  Instead of using logic and science to determine what is healthy and what is not, the commentors on this forum seem to go with what "feels right".  You should all be thanking Monsanto for producing so much food, keeping food prices low, and keeping starvation to a minimum around the world.  Instead you demonize them for producing something you need and selling it to you at a price you can afford.  If you don't like it, then don't buy it, but don't get in their way of providing food for the rest of us.  I prefer not to starve.

Agenda 21: Capitalism's Hail Mary

Julie Beal does a great job of explaining the pitfalls of the seemingly best program ever.
Saving the planet by commodifying everything on it.  A solution TPTB can get on board with is clearly no solution at all.

Measuring the sacred

At its most basic, natural capital is understood as the earth’s biomass, and the ‘ecosystem services’ it provides; it involves, literally, pricing the seas, the air, the land, and the flora and fauna, and the various benefits they bestow.

Sixteen years ago, Robert Costanza, et al, published an article in Nature called ‘The value of the world's ecosystem services and natural capital’ (1997) which included a fully priced global index of all these global ecological benefits, which were estimated to have an average total annual value of $33 trillion, which at the time was almost twice the annual global gross product.

The report therefore proved the tremendous profit to be had from these ‘benefits’, and Agenda 21 and its idealistic proponents have been the perfect vehicle to advance the movement to measure natural capital, and ‘go beyond GDP’. The argument used, you see, is attractive and reasoned to many who hear it: the story goes:
nature and people are the most important things of all;
we are destroying the earth and it would be good to save it;
the current financial and corporate system is screwed.
We all know these things to be true, and once hooked into the storyline, most people fall for the ‘solution’ being offered. This solution insists ‘we must measure what we value’, i.e. ascribe a £ or $ value to each ecosystem benefit. Otherwise, we are told, ‘we cannot manage what we cannot measure’. And it’s the corporations and bankers who are going to do this for us, to profit from an endlessly replenished stock of assets: people + planet.

Cloned Beef Brought To You By Rockefeller-Founded American Breeders Association

A well-researched piece from TruthStreamMedia, though certainly not a damning indictment.  I first dismissed this video as paranoid and reaching for conspiracies.  Until I caught this:

"Clones, produced without sexual reproduction, are exact genetic duplicates of another animal. Cloned cattle would be useful because they could be genetically manipulated to produce impressive amounts of milk or beef.
[...]
Cloning might also allow the insertion of genes that would cause a sheep or cow to produce drugs or other valuable substances in its milk."(emphasis added)

So here we have John D. Rockefeller and one of his descendants leading the charge on artificial insemination of livestock, pioneering animal cloning technology and founding the self-described global leader in bovine genetics.  Add to that a regulatory framework that has the FDA and others unsure if we have actually been consuming the results of these experiments.  Now recall Rockefeller involvement in the founding of the AMA and ADA, organizations which continue to advocate for the forced medication of the populace through water fluoridation.  The Bilderberg, Trilateral, and CFR connections also deserve a mention.

"Among senior Obama administration officials, there is a broad consensus that such operations are likely to be extended at least another decade. White House Science Czar Denies Extreme Population Control Views

Truthstream Media:

Compulsory abortion. Under-the-skin birth control implants. Government authorized reproduction. A Planetary Regime to regulate the population and ration food and resources. A sterilant added to water supplies or food staples. The expansion of mandatory family planning and population restrictions. An earth teetering on the edge of destruction. All of this and more is discussed frankly in the 1977 textbook, Ecoscience: Population, Resources, Environment, written jointly by John P. Holdren, Paul Ehrlich and his wife Anne Ehrlich.

Tireless activist Luke Rudkowski, founder of WeAreChange.org, confronted John P. Holdren, the top science advisor in the White House, about some of those statements as they appear in that tract during a Q and A session.

From the podium, Holdren cuts off the question, saying, “I beg your pardon, I did not advocate any of that… I never held those beliefs. The book in question described in a chapter surveying all the things that had been suggested, those kinds of suggestions included. They were abhorrent and would never be embraced, should not be embraced. I’m kind of tired of that question. Folks should go back and look at that book.”

Holdren is partially justified in claiming that his book’s chapter is simply surveying other beliefs, but his claim of being separate from such thinking is ludicrous. Ecoscience contains a veritable anthology of the major population control efforts of the 20th Century, including radical plans for depopulation, often controversial contraceptive innovations, thorough efforts at instituting “family planning” programs in developing countries through United Nations and private philanthropic guidance and demands to curtail consumption and limit resources.

John P. Holdren, current White House “Science Czar” (technically the Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy), has been a prominent figure in the larger Eugenics movement, dealing in population, environment and climate change matters, for most of his life.

Backed by major universities, endowments and foundations, his brand of science has been sponsored to promote radical approaches to curtailing human behavior, and with it, handing over more power to the self-appointed elite directing society.

Holdren is perhaps best known for his collaboration with Paul Ehrlich, the author of the 1968 Population Bomb, which portrayed an alarmist view of a population explosion exhausting earth’s resources and destroying life. The two have been frequent writing partners and were definitive, along with the Club of Rome (and their key publication Limits to Growth), in metering out a re-branded Eugenics based upon metrics about human consumption (a.k.a. “footprint”) and theories about earth’s “carrying capacity.”

In essence, these groups popularized a neo-Malthusian case for individual austerity and limits of some kind on the number of children families can have. For instance, the pair noted in a 1969 article on over-population, “If the population control measures are not initiated immediately, and effectively, all the technology man can bring to bear will not fend off the misery to come.”

While Holdren and Ehrlich may not have personally backed every initiative presented in their 1977 textbook, including such radical and draconian proposals demonstrates their larger position in supporting any/all population control measures that can establish acceptance. The larger Eugenics movement has always had more radical extremists, like Paul Popenoe, that make tamer proposals look reasonable. Yet, all tend towards the common goal of global control over reproduction and most find a common source of funding amongst the wealthy foundations of elite robber barons, monopolists and banking elite (which is directly acknowledged by Holdren & Ehrlich in the text).

Some proposals, like the one calling for sterilants in the water, are ostensibly rejected in the text, with this example finding no practical way to avoid tainting livestock supplies while targeting humans. However, a clear direction is marked out in the chapter, with sub-headers like “Towards a Planetary Regime” indicating the dominant trend towards more comprehensive authority over individual family choices.

Front Page Magazine took on Holdren’s legacy in 2009 in response to his White House appointment, labeling him “Obama’s Biggest Radical.” Ben Johnson makes the case that far from rejecting some of the more extreme measures discussed in the book, the authors “hide behind the passive voice.” Johnson writes about this in relation to discussing compulsory abortion:

“Holdren and the Ehrlichs maintained “there exists ample authority under which population growth could be regulated.” Hiding behind the passive voice, they note, “it has been concluded that compulsory population-control laws, even including laws requiring compulsory abortion, could be sustained under the existing constitution if the population crisis became sufficiently severe to endanger the society.” To underscore they mean business, they conclude, “If some individuals contribute to general social deterioration by overproducing children, and if the need is compelling, they can be required by law to exercise reproductive responsibility” (pp. 837-838).”

• Page 837: Compulsory abortions would be legal
“Indeed, it has been concluded that compulsory population-control laws, even including laws requiring compulsory abortion, could be sustained under the existing Constitution if the population crisis became sufficiently severe to endanger the society.”

• Page 786: Single mothers should have their babies taken away by the government; or they could be forced to have abortions
“One way to carry out this disapproval might be to insist that all illegitimate babies be put up for adoption—especially those born to minors, who generally are not capable of caring properly for a child alone. If a single mother really wished to keep her baby, she might be obliged to go through adoption proceedings and demonstrate her ability to support and care for it. Adoption proceedings probably should remain more difficult for single people than for married couples, in recognition of the relative difficulty of raising children alone. It would even be possible to require pregnant single women to marry or have abortions, perhaps as an alternative to placement for adoption, depending on the society.”

• Page 787-8: Mass sterilization of humans though drugs in the water supply is OK as long as it doesn’t harm livestock
“Adding a sterilant to drinking water or staple foods is a suggestion that seems to horrify people more than most proposals for involuntary fertility control. Indeed, this would pose some very difficult political, legal, and social questions, to say nothing of the technical problems. No such sterilant exists today, nor does one appear to be under development. To be acceptable, such a substance would have to meet some rather stiff requirements: it must be uniformly effective, despite widely varying doses received by individuals, and despite varying degrees of fertility and sensitivity among individuals; it must be free of dangerous or unpleasant side effects; and it must have no effect on members of the opposite sex, children, old people, pets, or livestock.”

• Page 786-7: Involuntary fertility control

“A program of sterilizing women after their second or third child, despite the relatively greater difficulty of the operation than vasectomy, might be easier to implement than trying to sterilize men.

The development of a long-term sterilizing capsule that could be implanted under the skin and removed when pregnancy is desired opens additional possibilities for coercive fertility control. The capsule could be implanted at puberty and might be removable, with official permission, for a limited number of births. “

• Page 838: The kind of people who cause “social deterioration” can be compelled to not have children
“If some individuals contribute to general social deterioration by overproducing children, and if the need is compelling, they can be required by law to exercise reproductive responsibility—just as they can be required to exercise responsibility in their resource-consumption patterns—providing they are not denied equal protection.”

• Page 838: Nothing is wrong or illegal about the government dictating family size
“In today’s world, however, the number of children in a family is a matter of profound public concern. The law regulates other highly personal matters. For example, no one may lawfully have more than one spouse at a time. Why should the law not be able to prevent a person from having more than two children?”

• Page 942-3: Toward a Planetary Regime

“Perhaps those agencies, combined with UNEP and the United Nations population agencies, might eventually be developed into a Planetary Regime—sort of an international superagency for population, resources, and environment. Such a comprehensive Planetary Regime could control the development, administration, conservation, and distribution of all natural resources, renewable or nonrenewable, at least insofar as international implications exist. Thus the Regime could have the power to control pollution not only in the atmosphere and oceans, but also in such freshwater bodies as rivers and lakes that cross international boundaries or that discharge into the oceans. The Regime might also be a logical central agency for regulating all international trade, perhaps including assistance from DCs to LDCs, and including all food on the international market.

The Planetary Regime might be given responsibility for determining the optimum population for the world and for each region and for arbitrating various countries’ shares within their regional limits. Control of population size might remain the responsibility of each government, but the Regime would have some power to enforce the agreed limits.”

• Page 917: We will need to surrender national sovereignty to an armed international police force
“If this could be accomplished, security might be provided by an armed international organization, a global analogue of a police force. Many people have recognized this as a goal, but the way to reach it remains obscure in a world where factionalism seems, if anything, to be increasing. The first step necessarily involves partial surrender of sovereignty to an international organization.”

• Page 749: Pro-family and pro-birth attitudes are caused by ethnic chauvinism
” Another related issue that seems to encourage a pronatalist attitude in many people is the question of the differential reproduction of social or ethnic groups. Many people seem to be possessed by fear that their group may be outbred by other groups. White Americans and South Africans are worried there will be too many blacks, and vice versa. The Jews in Israel are disturbed by the high birth rates of Israeli Arabs, Protestants are worried about Catholics, and lbos about Hausas. Obviously, if everyone tries to outbreed everyone else, the result will be catastrophe for all. This is another case of the “tragedy of the commons,” wherein the “commons” is the planet Earth. Fortunately, it appears that, at least in the DCs, virtually all groups are exercising reproductive restraint.”

• Page 944: As of 1977, we are facing a global overpopulation catastrophe that must be resolved at all costs by the year 2000
“Humanity cannot afford to muddle through the rest of the twentieth century; the risks are too great, and the stakes are too high. This may be the last opportunity to choose our own and our descendants’ destiny. Failing to choose or making the wrong choices may lead to catastrophe. But it must never be forgotten that the right choices could lead to a much better world.”

3D Printing: The Sum of All Corporate-Fascist Fears

From LocalOrg:

The unspoken fear the establishment holds regarding 3D printing and other forms of personal manufacturing is that their central globalized monopolies will be replaced by increasingly smaller, localized companies like Local Motors who already provides a model for "microfactories" and the localization of auto-manufacturing. Job creation, profits, wealth, power, and influence will be redistributed locally, not through government handouts, but by way of technology and local entrepreneurship - ending centuries of disparity between the people and the "elite."

There's a reason for this. Truthout, over a year ago, decided to ban this publication from its pages.

Probably The Most Significant Technological Breakthrough Of Our Time

I'm no gun nut, but I also have an increasing fear of tyrannical government based on the clear militarization of the police, as well as the curtailing of civil liberties.  I never advocate violence as an adherent of the non-aggression principle.  However, I also believe in maintaining the existing rights enshrined in the constitution and hopefully using those rights as a foundation on which to build even greater rights and increase individual liberties.  Freedom is not a zero-sum equation as many argue.  Yes, one does not, and should not, have the freedom to infringe on another's freedom but this does not automatically imply that we cannot increase our freedom collectively through cooperation and understanding.  Those who advocate for control of this technology do so at the risk of undoing hundreds of years of struggle and sacrifice that were necessary to establish and safeguard the freedoms we enjoy today.  The fears associated with this technology are very real but to put a stop to it would mean catastrophe for democracy.
3D-printed weaponry is here to stay whether we like it or not.  Its arrival signals a major shift away from centralized control predicated on coercion and force and toward decentralized, unregulated self-governance.  It is clear we have outgrown the habit of ceding personal responsibility to an external protectorate.  Does this make the world less safe?  Only as long as there is reason to use deadly force against one another.  Will criminals and terrorists capitalize on this development, almost certainly.  But just because anyone can suddenly print a gun doesn't mean that they will, and it doesn't mean that peaceful people will seize the opportunity to become violent extremists.  If you want to mitigate the threat posed by 3D-printed weaponry, disincentivize using violence to achieve your goals.  The larger implications of 3D-printing more generally solidify this point: this technology could push a trend of despecialization as more and more people are once again able to fabricate all of their own tools and products.

Positive Development: Urban Waters Federal Partnership

AP:
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Environmental Protection Agency, the White House and other federal departments announced Friday that they are expanding a program for restoring and improving urban waterways nationwide.
The Urban Waters Federal Partnership now operates in seven locations. Officials said Friday they’re adding the Grand River in Grand Rapids, Mich., the Middle Rio Grande in Albuquerque and nine other areas. The program links economic development, recreational and environmental improvement goals.
“Since we launched the Urban Waters Federal Partnership two years ago, we’ve seen firsthand what the transformation of degraded urban waterways into clean, healthy and treasured centerpieces can do for local communities — not only from an aesthetic standpoint, but also from a public health and economic standpoint,” acting EPA Administrator Bob Perciasepe said in a statement.
The other new sites are the Big River and Meramec River around St. Louis; the Delaware River in Philadelphia, Camden, N.J., Chester, Pa., and Wilmington, Del.; the Green-Duwamish River in Seattle; the Mystic River in metropolitan Boston; Martin Pena Canal in San Juan, Puerto Rico; Middle Blue River in Kansas City; Passaic River in Newark, N.J.; Proctor Creek in Atlanta; and Lake Erie near Toledo, Ohio.
Among other participating agencies are the U.S. departments of Agriculture, Interior, Education, and Housing and Urban Development.
“Restoring these waterways is not only important for improving the water that we all depend on, but for spurring economic growth and creating recreational opportunities in these communities as well,” Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack said.
The original seven sites are the Anacostia watershed in the District of Columbia and Maryland; Patapsco watershed in the Baltimore area; Bronx and Harlem River watersheds in New York; South Platte River in Denver; Los Angeles River watershed; Lake Pontchartrain area in New Orleans; and northwest Indiana.

From the EPA:

Urban Waters Federal Partnership

This partnership will reconnect urban communities, particularly those that are overburdened or economically distressed, with their waterways by improving coordination among federal agencies and collaborating with community-led revitalization efforts to improve our Nation's water systems and promote their economic, environmental and social benefits. Specifically, the Urban Waters Federal Partnership will:

Break down federal program silos to promote more efficient and effective use of federal resources through better coordination and targeting of federal investments.
Recognize and build on local efforts and leadership, by engaging and serving community partners.
Work with local officials and effective community-based organizations to leverage area resources and stimulate local economies to create local jobs.
Learn from early and visible victories to fuel long-term action.
This partnership aligns with President Obama's America's Great Outdoors initiative, which calls on agencies to support innovative community efforts to provide safe, healthy and accessible outdoor spaces.

The Historical Evidence

by TunaGhost
Why do people believe in conspiracy theories?.. ..The reason is as follows: those in power do not like company, and they will cheat and steal and generally break all manner of laws, and they will lie to you and everyone else while they do it. In recent US history, conspiracies were made, laws were broken, and hundreds of thousands have suffered.
Some have been successful, in the sense that no one was ever punished for the crimes committed. I plan to examine why some conspiracies are successful and, in doing so, reveal a pattern of successful conspiracies that can be used in the future to analyze a given situation for signs of the same.
First, a little history: back in 1915, Haiti had a government that wasn’t keen to play ball with the US, which saw this as evidence that Haiti did not know what was good for Haiti. In a sense this was true (although a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy), in that Marines were then sent to Haiti and thousands were killed. After disbanding the parliament at gunpoint, a new constitution was drafted. Under US supervision, naturally, so that it would be “beneficial to Haiti”, which Haitians apparently were unable to do before the Marines came. What followed was decades of abject misery under despotic rulers that catered to US financial interests.
Can this be called a conspiracy? Certainly US leaders planned the entire thing with malice aforethought and lied through their teeth about their reasons for intervention, so it would seem to fit the bill. It is also continues a tradition started long ago in regard to successfully getting away with a conspiracy: choose victims that nobody gives a shit about (the darker/more foreign the better), victims that do not have a voice, victims that do not have any kind of leverage. It also shows quite plainly the design of such conspiracies: to maintain the status quo as imagined by the US.

Happy Loyalty Day America!... and a happy international worker solidarity day to the rest of the world.

Celebrations abound. Around the world countless strikes, marches, and protest, are taking place this May 1st, in what has become the rallying day worldwide for the Left. In America, however, Loyalty Day has supplanted May Day as a federally recognized holiday. In an attempt to forget the trials and tribulations that formed 'the land of the free', May Day, has been swept under the rug in america and relegated to the importance of other outdated holidays such as Flag Day.
The history of May Day as International Workers Day, begins in 1886 with the Haymarket Massacre. The late 19th century was a tumultuous time, with Labor organizations around the country demanding higher wages and better working conditions through strikes, walkouts, and protests. During a demonstration for the 'eight our day', police in chicago where trying to disperse protesters when an unidentified assailant threw an explosive at them. The police responded by opening fire on the demonstration, and in the chaos, fellow policemen. The final result was 7 dead police and four dead protesters.
In the aftermath of the incident, police disregarded suspect's fourth amendment rights, ransacking homes in search of bombs and anarchist literature without regard for search warrants. Local and national newspapers rallied with the police, naming the anarchist as responsible for the attack although no evidence existed, and supporting police crackdowns on far left groups. The police targeted the speakers at the Haymarket protests, and the anarchist newspaper Albeiter-Zeitung as the responsible parties, eventually sentencing eight men to death of which only one was even present at the event and was a speaker.
More centrist labor unions quickly distanced themselves from the anarchist groups and many in the public began suspecting the immigrant communities where the anarchist and socialist movements had gained strength. Some, including renowned historian Howard Zinn, believe that evidence points to an anarchist named Rudolph Schnaubelt as the man who threw the bomb, and that he may actually have been an agent provocateur, hired to attack the police and create a crackdown on anarchist and far left political organizations.
This piece of american history has largely been ignored by our media, and the holiday that started as a anniversary of this event in the US, has been suppressed to obscurity. In 1894 Labor Day was moved to september, and became an official holiday. This move was seen as a way to break solidarity with May Day demonstrations that took place worldwide May 1st each year.  In the early 1920's during the first red scare, those afraid of socialism taking power in the US began Loyalty Day on May first as a counterbalance to May Day.  In 1961, at the height of red scare hysteria, Dwight Eisenhower officially changed May Day, to Loyalty Day in attempt to undermine a holiday that celebrated class consciousness and worker solidarity, by creating a holiday glorifying the status quo. Today we celebrate neither holiday, and thanks to the persecution of the socialist and anarchist histories in america, we have no vibrant voices from either of these schools of thought to balance american discourse.
