That was a horribly biased article, and I have never seen so many ignorant comments in one forum. The word "corporation" is not synonymous with "evil". Genetically modified food will not turn you into zombies or cause your children to have three arms and a tail. If it wasn't for modern farming techniques including genetic modification, and large farming corporations, a large portion of the world population would starve to death. Contrary to the misinformation being spread below, we could not feed the world by "supporting local farmers". It is the same mindset that insists that "organic" food is better for you, despite scientific studies showing that there is no health advantage. It is because of people that think like this that DDT is still banned and millions of people needlessly die of malaria. Instead of using logic and science to determine what is healthy and what is not, the commentors on this forum seem to go with what "feels right". You should all be thanking Monsanto for producing so much food, keeping food prices low, and keeping starvation to a minimum around the world. Instead you demonize them for producing something you need and selling it to you at a price you can afford. If you don't like it, then don't buy it, but don't get in their way of providing food for the rest of us. I prefer not to starve.
